      Sure, you can find a few sermons from the more obscure books, but we should not burden our people–or force our preaching into this—by a verse by verse study of every book of the Bible. Some of my generation began preaching through the Bible a half-century ago when Dallas' W. A. Criswell announced that he was doing it. Ireneaus, a half century later, wrote of resurrections in Christian Churches. Many of the less reliable writers of the Apocryphal books referred to the raising of the dead long after Christ’s time.
